Program Description
The Youth IOP is a structured, therapeutic program designed to support adolescents ages 13-17, who are experiencing emotional, behavioral, or substance-related challenges that require more intensive care than traditional outpatient therapy. The aim of the program is to accept recently hospitalized youth with complex trauma profiles and help to stabilize their condition for better engagement with outpatient services. It utilizes a 12 week, 9 -12hr per week program that combines group therapy, individual therapy, family therapy, case management, and peer services. Sessions are held Monday-Thursday from 4-7pm at UNM’s Lamberton location.
