Bariatric Surgery: A Team Effort

We emphasize long-term weight management rather than short-term extreme weight loss. That takes a team effort—and you are the most important member of your health care team.

Your support team includes:

  • Your doctor can evaluate the risks and benefits of surgical and non-surgical treatments and help you manage problems that may arise after surgery.
  • A registered dietitian can help you understand nutrition recommendations and counsel you on what your body needs to be healthy.
  • The nursing staff can answer questions and help you prevent or deal with problems that may arise.
  • The Bariatric psychologist can help you manage the emotions that can come with physical and lifestyle changes.
  • The Nurse Practitioner will be involved in all aspects of your bariatric care.

It is important for us to be able to contact you after surgery. Please tell our office if your address or phone number changes.
