If you’ve suffered a brain injury or have a neurological disorder, turn to UNM Health. We’ll create a unique rehabilitation plan to help you live life to the fullest.
Neuropsychology
Brain injuries, such as concussions, and neurological disorders, like epilepsy or dementia, can impact how you think, behave or feel. When this happens, neuropsychologists can help you regain cognitive ability and find a new normal.
Start with a visit to UNM Hospital’s Center for Neuropsychological Services (CNS) to get a neuropsychological evaluation. Our experts will test your current cognitive functions and help your care team create a personalize treatment plan for your needs.
Neuropsychology Programs and Clinics
Our clinic is an integral part of UNM Health’s epilepsy surgery program. We offer pre- and post-surgical evaluation, as well as Wada testing for memory and language functions.
We also offer consultations for the Transdisciplinary Evaluation and Support Clinic, the Adult Special Needs Clinic and the Childhood Cancer Survivorship Clinic.
CNS runs the clinical service Multicultural Excellence in Neuropsychology Training and Evaluation Program (MENTE). This program serves the multilinguistic population of New Mexico, including native Spanish speakers, bilingual patients, Native Americans and other non-English-speaking individuals.
