Program Description
Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) is an effective, evidence-based practice for patients with moderate to severe depression, bipolar disorder (depressed, manic, or mixed episodes), schizophrenia, and schizoaffective disorders. ECT is performed using a collaborative/consultative model for patients who have not responded to medications, who are having excessive side effects from medications, or who are severely suicidal. Treatment is focused on long-term remissions.
