Multidisciplinary Vascular Anomalies Clinic
The Multidisciplinary Vascular Anomalies Clinic (VAC) is the only team in New Mexico that specializes in vascular anomalies and birthmarks. Founded in 2010 to serve the needs of children and adults with vascular tumors, birthmarks and genetic syndromes, we diagnose, manage and treat patients of all ages.
Our clinical care team is exceptionally well trained and recognized nationally for the excellent care we can provide right here in our community. Our VAC visits take place at the UNMH Dermatology Clinic.
Caring for Children and Adults
We care for patients with the entire spectrum of vascular anomalies, from common infantile hemangiomas and capillary malformations/port wine stains, to complex venous or lymphatic malformations and genetic syndromes. Depending on their location, we know vascular anomalies can affect vital functions such as vision, hearing, sleep or swallowing and can affect quality of life in many ways.
Comprehensive Care from Exam through Follow-Ups
After a thorough exam and review of your imaging and pathology records, we’ll provide a definitive diagnosis and create a comprehensive treatment plan. We will also coordinate follow-up care with other specialists as needed and give information back to your primary care provider.
How to Make an Appointment
You may need a referral from your primary care provider to schedule an appointment. We will need to have access to your records and imaging in order to provide the best care possible. Please call us with questions at 505-272-6222.
