Sleep Disorders

Sleep Disorders is a specialty that focuses on diagnosing, treating, and preventing various sleep disorders and co-morbidities. The University of New Mexico Hospital Sleep Disorders Center provides sleep care that is accessible, high-quality, evidence-based, safety-focused, and comprehensive. Highly qualified Board-Certified Physicians, registered sleep technologists (RPSGTs), and registered respiratory therapists (RRTs) provide skilled services, targeting your unique sleep disorder. Many of our staff have advanced certifications through the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) and the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC). Extensively trained Polysomnographic Technologists (PSGTs) assist the registered staff as needed to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Our primary focus is to provide skilled treatment of obstructive sleep apnea, central sleep apnea, insomnia, restless leg syndrome, and any hypersomnia conditions you may have.

The staff at UNMH Sleep Disorders Center is dedicated to delivering exceptional and compassionate care to improve our patients' sleep health. Our mission encompasses the accurate diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders while promoting education and awareness of healthy sleep practices within the community. We strive to empower individuals with the knowledge and tools they need to cultivate healthy sleep practices. Together, we can transform lives, one restful night at a time!
