Orthopaedic Surgery
Complex or severe conditions require advanced surgery, such as joint replacement, tendon repair or spinal fusion. Our surgery team is skilled in open and arthroscopic approaches.
Arthroscopic surgery is minimally invasive, with smaller incisions and quicker recovery time. The surgeon will insert a scope with a camera attached into your joint to examine and repair it.
After surgery, most patients need physical or occupational therapy to regain strength and mobility. Our expert rehabilitation team will work with you on movement and skills. Build your strength and regain your independence at UNM Health.
