Get the most advanced dental care at UNM's Department of Dental Medicine. As New Mexico's only dental residency program, you will get excellent care in our state-of-the-art facilities. We accept all patients of all ages, including those with chronic medical illnesses.
Regular preventative dental care can lead to full-body wellness. Mouth problems can be the first sign of serious health issues, such as heart disease or diabetes. If we spot a problem, we'll refer you to a specialist to get the care you need.

Serving You at 3 Dental Clinics
Three locations offer specific types of dental care. Appointment availability varies by location. While Medicaid and most other major insurance plans are accepted, UNMCare is not accepted.
Camino de Salud Residency Clinic and Faculty Practice
Services are provided by dental school graduates. Experienced dental faculty oversee your care, including care for medically complex patients. Available services include cosmetic, implant and sedation dentistry, as well as oral surgery and teeth whitening.
Camino de Salud Ambulatory Surgical Center
This state-of-the-art surgical center is staffed by an experienced team of dental and nursing professionals. Appointments are by referral only. We treat a wide range of patients, including children and patients with extensive dental needs.

- Comprehensive dental exams and cleanings
- Cone beam/3D radiographs
- Cosmetic dentistry including veneers and bleaching services

UNM Dental Hygiene Services at Novitski Hall
Dental hygiene students treat patients under licensed dental faculty supervision. Appointments generally last three hours. Additional appointments may be needed.
