Working to Prevent Cancer
Part of our mission is to overcome the cancers that affect New Mexicans at a higher rate than other states in the country. Our prevention program is starting with colorectal cancer and will expand to other cancers.
Preventing Colorectal Cancer
The colorectal screening program goal is to prevent colorectal cancer across New Mexico. Learn how to improve delivery and uptake of colorectal cancer screening, ensure diagnostic follow-up, and navigate individuals to appropriate treatment services.
This education series is focused on the diverse communities experiencing inequities in New Mexico. We welcome community members, physicians, nurses, physician assistants, community health workers, and healthcare professionals to join the virtual Project ECHO sessions.
Continuing medical education credits will be available for physicians, nurses, and physician assistants, and continuing education units will be available for community health workers.
