The UNM Comprehensive Cancer Center is the only cancer center in the state of New Mexico that is designated by the National Cancer Institute. We are one of only 57 cancer centers in the nation to be designated by the NCI as a comprehensive cancer center, the highest federal designation and rating for cancer centers.

Our scientists work diligently every day to discover the causes and cures for cancer. As the state’s only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center and the Official Cancer Center of the State of New Mexico, the UNM Cancer Center is committed to fighting cancer on all fronts. Our research scientists work closely with our board-certified oncology physicians to bring their discoveries for innovative treatment options to New Mexicans facing cancer.
