Pediatric Genetic Disorders
Our genes are the basic foundation of how we grow, move and learn. Sometimes, the genes don't form properly before birth. This can cause a genetic disorder that can change your child's growth, development or appearance.
The UNM Children's Hospital team includes experts in diagnosing and managing pediatric genetic disorders. Our geneticists and doctors provide consultative expertise throughout New Mexico and the Southwest. And we offer expert early childhood diagnosis and treatment clinics throughout the state for children with complex needs and behavioral or regulatory issues
You will need a referral from your child’s primary care provider to schedule an appointment. Once you have a referral, call us at 505-272-6631.
