Pediatric Infectious Disease

Infants and young children can get very sick from exposure to bacteria, viruses or microbes. These infections can lead to high fevers and scary symptoms such as seizures, pain and trouble breathing. Sometimes, infections can cause symptoms throughout a child's life.

At UNM Children's Hospital, our infectious disease team includes experts in diagnosing and treating new and ongoing infections. We will help your child—and your family— live a full life while managing their illness.

You will need a referral from your child’s primary care provider to schedule an appointment. Once you have a referral, call us at 505-272-0331.
