People across the United States are affected by cancer in many different ways. Differences in race and ethnicity, income, geographic residence, education, healthcare access, and cancer research can create health disparities for individuals who experience these differences. The Geographical Management of Cancer Health Disparities Program (GMaP) seeks to reduce these disparities by supporting the next generation of researchers to advance the science of cancer health disparities and create health equity for all who are affected by cancer.

Registration is free to attend the NCI Center to Reduce Cancer Health Disparities Professional Advancement Virtual Engagement Series (PAVES). No more sessions are available for the current year. PAVES provides postdocs, scientists, clinician scientists, and researchers an opportunity to explore NIH funding opportunities, identify new resources to advance their scientific career, and acquire new insights and skills in the research grant application development process.

PAVES generally occur on the last Wednesday of each month from 3:00 - 4:00 PM ET (times and dates may vary depending on presenter availability). All past sessions are viewable on the PAVES website. If you have any questions, please contact the PAVES team at Paves@nih.gov.
