Patient Navigators
Patient navigation can help cancer patients address barriers during treatment. It can also help in finding screening services for those seeking preventive care. Navigators at the UNM Cancer Center can help with language services, financial assistance, legal services, prescription support, lodging, and more.
The UNM Cancer Center Office of Community Outreach And Engagement (COE) offers two programs to help people who have been diagnosed with breast and/or cervical cancer. These programs are the Comadre à Comadre program and the MANOS program. Learn more about each in the next tabbed content.
Our Program
The Comadre a Comadre program empowers Hispanic/Latine and their loved ones. We can navigate and support you through the maze of healthcare. We can give you information about breast and cervical cancer. And we can give you resources for prevention, early detection and screening for these cancers.
Comadre a Comadre is a Program of The University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center Office
of Community Outreach and Engagement.
