We are bringing health and wellness to you! Come out to our Diabetes Awareness Health Fair — a FREE community event focused on education, prevention, and care.

FREE health services available from 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM

The following health screenings will be provided by Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Mexico and UNM College of Pharmacy.

  • Glucose testing
  • Blood pressure
  • Oxygen saturation
  • Body mass index
  • A1C testing
  • Education will be provided about taking medications

The following vision screenings will be provided by the New Mexico Lions Clubs:

  • Myopia (nearsightedness) Causes the eyes to focus incorrectly, making distant objects appear blurred.
  • Hyperopia (Farsightedness) Small levels of farsightedness are normal for young children but high levels can cause problems. left untreated, hyperopia can contribute to crossing of the eye or poor vision in each eye.
  • Astigmatism- A condition in which the cornea has an abnormal curve, causing out-of-focus vision.
  • Strabismus (deviated sights)
  • Anisometropia- A condition in which the two eyes have unequal refractive power.
  • Anisocoria- Slight differences in pupil sizes are found in healthy people. Unequal pupil sizes with a difference of more than 1.5 mm may be a sign of an eye, brain, blood vessel or nerve problem.
  • Bring your current prescription for free glasses

 

The following dental services will be provided by Touro College:

• Dental screenings
• Oral cancer screenings
• Oral health instructions
• Dental education

All programs and services are available on a first come first serve basis FREE to the public.

If you have insurance, please bring your card with you

  • High Dose Flu (> 65 years old or immunocompromised)
  • Flu (Available for all ages)
  • Tetanus (Recommended every 10 years)
  • Shingles (Recommended for everyone> 50 years old and/or with diabetes or asthma/COPD)
  • Pneumonia (Recommended for everyone >50 and/or smoker, diabetic, or have asthma/COPD)
  • Hepatitis B (Recommended for healthcare workers or diabetic patients)
  • RSV (Recommended for >60 years old with any of the following: asthma/COPD/Cardiovascular Artery Disease/Congestive Heart Failure/Kidney Disorders/Liver Disorders/Diabetes/immunocompromised)
  • New updated COVID (Recommended for 12 years and older needing updated booster)
  • MMR (3 years and up, recommended now with outbreak)
