We are bringing health and wellness to you! Come out to our Diabetes Awareness Health Fair — a FREE community event focused on education, prevention, and care.
As part of UNM Hospital’s ongoing commitment to promoting health and wellness in our community, we are excited to announce our second annual Diabetes Awareness Health Fair.
If you or someone you love has diabetes or prediabetes don’t miss this event! It’s a step towards empowering yourself with knowledge and resources to live a healthier, fuller life.
Free health screenings and services (18 and over)
10:00 AM – 1:30 PM- Blood glucose and cholesterol
- A1C test
- Blood pressure and pulse
- Oxygen Saturation (SpO2) Levels
- Prescription management - bring your medications and talk to one of our pharmacists
- Glucometer use education
- Vision screenings by the Casey Optical and New Mexico Lions Clubs
All programs and services are available on a first come first serve basis FREE to the public
Screenings and services provided by UNM College of Pharmacy, and BlueCross BlueShield. All programs and services are available on a first come first serve basis
Immunizations provided by Walmart

If you have insurance, please bring your card with you
- High Dose Flu (> 65 years old or immunocompromised)
- Flu (Available for all ages)
- Tetanus (Recommended every 10 years)
- Shingles (Recommended for everyone> 50 years old and/or with diabetes or asthma/COPD)
- Pneumonia (Recommended for everyone >50 and/or smoker, diabetic, or have asthma/COPD)
- Hepatitis B (Recommended for healthcare workers or diabetic patients)
- RSV (Recommended for >60 years old with any of the following: asthma/COPD/Cardiovascular Artery Disease/Congestive Heart Failure/Kidney Disorders/Liver Disorders/Diabetes/immunocompromised)
- New updated COVID (Recommended for 12 years and older needing updated booster) MMR (3 years and up, recommended now with outbreak)
- Please speak with the pharmacy tech for any questions.
