GoGirl Empowerment Summit

Purpose: Middle school can be a challenging time for many young girls, and particularly for those who face systemic obstacles due to their race or ethnicity. That’s why the GO GIRL Empowerment Summit was created by UNM Hospital to inspire, encourage, and empower young girls of color to achieve their full potential. The summit will focus on the G.I.R.L. (Genuineness, intelligence, resilience and leadership) values as a resource to help them feel seen, heard, and supported.

Expectations:

The GO GIRL Empowerment Summit will provide attendees with

  • Workshops: building confidence, developing leadership skills, and fostering a sense of community
  • Healthy living activities and resources.
  • Motivational speakers and Q&As: they’ll hear from successful women of color who will share their stories of overcoming adversity and achieving their goals.
  • GO GIRL Empowerment Summit T-shirt and goodies from our sponsors!
