Application Process

University of New Mexico Hospitals (UNMH)

UNMH is a closed medical staff. Applications may only be submitted through a clinical department. Each department has a clinical department coordinator to assist with the credentialing process. Your hiring official will put you in touch with this person.

UNM Medical Group (UNMMG)

Applications for UNMMG must come through the UNMMG, please contact Renee Baughman at 505-272-1476.

Important!

  • An application is considered complete when all elements and supporting documents are submitted.
  • Applications may be submitted pending: license, CSR/DEA, however, these will be considered a preliminary applications and will considerably delay processing of the application.
  • Average turnaround time for processing of a complete credentialing application by the CVO is 30 days. The Committee approval process also averages 30 days. Depending on the application, this process may take a little less or a little longer.
