Insurance Claims

Please bring your insurance card to your child’s appointment. You may need to pay coinsurance, deductibles, co-payments and/or down payments before receiving care that is not urgent.

After your child’s appointment is over, your UNM Health provider will file your insurance claim to your primary and secondary insurance payers. If your insurance provider doesn't respond within 60 days, we may ask you to contact your insurance payer.
