Carrie Tingley Hospital Outpatient Services
UNM Health’s Carrie Tingley Hospital (CTH) has been providing compassionate, coordinated health care to children and teens for more than 70 years.
We specialize in treating complex musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions, developmental issues and long-term physical disabilities.
Children, particularly those with chronic conditions, need specialized health care that includes the family as an important part of the health care team.
We value the role a child’s family plays in a health care plan and respect the cultural and personal values of his or hers loved ones.
Working together provides the best healing environment for children, whether at home or in the hospital.
Caring for New Mexico’s Children since 1937
CTH was founded in Truth or Consequences as a hospital for children stricken with polio. In 1981, the facility moved to its current location in Albuquerque and ultimately became a clinical component of UNM’s Health Sciences. Currently, we provide care for patients with congenital and acquired conditions that affect the musculoskeletal, neurological and neuromuscular systems.
Carrie Tingley Hospital Advisory Board Meetings
The CTH Advisory Board is composed of up to nine members, at least three of whom are parents of children with disabilities and/or special chronic health care needs and at least two of whom are health professionals.
