Cassie Nicole Shaw, MD

Biography

Dr. Shaw earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2010 from Pittsburg State University and her Medical Degree in 2014 from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. She completed Internal Medicine Residency as well as a chief year in Internal Medicine in 2019 at Saint Louis University.

Personal Statement

I have an interest in resident education, specifically within the hospital. Both of my administrative roles allow me to explore this beyond the time I spend on wards with residents. As an APD, I am able to work with residents one on one to help them achieve their goals as well as with the program and the hospitalist division to optimize curriculum and rotations. As as the 4 West Medical Director I'm able to coordinate the focus on care and protocols for better outcomes Merging these two roles, I have opportunities to bring the residency program into hospital protocol decisions and quality projects.
