Personal Statement
I have been involved in many areas of cancer research including basic science bench research and clinical trials. My clinical practice over the years has been mostly in hematologic malignancies and benign hematology in both the outpatient and inpatient setting. As the inpatient attending for the Hematology Oncology team, I provide continuity for our patients who frequently have multiple admissions. I teach fellows, residents and medical students who rotate through the inpatient services. I enjoy the intensity and variety of issues involved in caring for inpatients and helping other teams with their hematologic questions.
