Biography

Dr. Greenbaum is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the UNM School of Medicine, specializing in gastrointestinal and peritoneal surface malignancies. She current serves as Associate Program Director for the general surgery residency at the University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center, focusing on resident wellness and surgical ergonomics initiatives. Her research focuses on Native American health, cancer screening and intercultural approaches to healthcare, as well as large database research examining surgical outcomes in patients with gastrointestinal and peritoneal malignancies. She is the Program Director of the UNM Peritoneal Surface Malignancy Program, the only cytoreductive surgery and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) program in the state. She is proud to serve the diverse patient population of New Mexico and surrounding areas of east Texas and western Arizona.

Personal Statement
