Dokmeci received his medical degree from Ankara University School of Medicine, Ankara, TurkeyCollege/Medical School between Sep.1986 - July 1992

He did a year of General Surgery Internshipat Ankara University School of Medicine, Ankara, Turkey between May.1993 - May 1994

He than completed Obstetrics & Gynecology Residency at Marmara University School of Medicine, Istanbul, Turkey between Nov.1994 - March 1999

After relocating to US he did his Internal Medicine Residency and Internshipale University - St. Mary’s Hospital Program, New Haven, CT between June 2005 - June 2008

He than complted Fellowship in Allergy and Immunologyat Louisiana State University, Shreveport, LA between July 2009 - June 2011

Personal Statement

I have always been excited about the field that I am working on as of now, more Immunology than Allergy. My background is in medicine, although I have trained in many different areas in medicine including training and becoming a board certified specialist in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
After completing my medical degree at Ankara University School of Medicine in 1992, I completed a year of residency and an internship at the same institution in General Surgery. I then completed a 5-year residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Marmara University School of Medicine, becoming a board-certified Ob & Gyn doctor. My interest in Immunology led me to move to the United States and complete an Internal Medicine training program at a Yale-affiliated residency program, followed by a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology.
Throughout my residency and fellowship, I developed a strong passion for Immunology, and my colleagues still remember me as the "go-to" person for immunodeficiency disease. I enjoyed reading about Immunology in my spare time, and I am now a member of the primary immunodeficiency committee at the American Academy of Asthma, Allergy and Immunology.
