Personal Statement
Dr. Brown-Glaberman is a board certified, practicing medical oncologist at the University of New Mexico Cancer Comprehensive (UNM CCC) Center and an Assistant Professor in Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology / Oncology. Her interest lies in the treatment of solid tumors with a focus on breast cancer and on hepatobiliary cancers including gallbladder cancer and cholangiocarcinoma. She is actively involved in the conduct of clinical trials and was awarded the prestigious National Cancer Institute (NCI) Cancer Clinical Investigators Team Leadership Award (CCITLA) in 2017 for her work. She serves as the UNM CCC principal investigator for multiple clinical trials, including for hepatobiliary cancers. Dr. Brown-Glaberman is deeply committed to providing outstanding cancer care to the patients of New Mexico, her home state. She is an advocate for medically underserved patients and interested in research addressing health disparities and cancer care delivery, on both a local and national level. She works closely with cancer providers throughout the state of New Mexico to promote access to care and clinical trial participation.
