Biography
Aragon received her B.S. in Biology (2000) from the University of New Mexico. She earned her Doctor of Medicine degree in 2007 from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. Following her MD degree, she completed a 3-year Pediatric Residency at the University of New Mexico Children's Hospital. She is board-certified in General Pediatric Medicine and Pediatric Hospital Medicine. Aragon is the Medical Director for Mariposa Children's Hospice and Home-based Palliative Care, the only pediatric-dedicated hospice in the state of New Mexico.
Personal Statement
Aragon practices and a Pediatric Inpatient Hospitalist providing care for children ranging in age from newborn to early adult with various acute and chronic illnesses, inpatient rehabilitation needs. In addition, she is a core member of the Pediatric Sedation and Procedure team, which provides sedation for children requiring imaging/procedures as outpatients/inpatients. Aragon serves with her Mariposa team to provide comprehensive, compassionate care for infants, children, adolescents and young adults with life-shortening conditions and their families in their homes.
