Ask your UNM pharmacist questions about your medications—we're here to help you better manage your long-term health.
Pharmacy Services
At UNM Health, pharmacists are an essential part of your care team. New Mexico is one of only four states that allow pharmacists to prescribe medication.
Our clinical pharmacists are certified to prescribe medications, including birth control and naloxone, and give vaccinations. We work with your primary care provider to give you the safest, most effective care.
Our Services
When you visit a UNM pharmacy, you can expect exceptional care. Our team offers:
- Dosing adjustments
- Monitoring of your treatment
- Ordering additional labs
- Centralized refill service
- Cost effective drug therapy
You’ll be in the best hands at UNM—our pharmacist clinicians are required to complete an additional 150 hours of supervised work before practicing. All treatment we recommend is compliant with current guidelines.
