Common Myths
MYTH: Since it seems like things are going back to normal, I can stop wearing my mask in public and don’t need to distance myself from others anymore.
Even as COVID-19 infection rates decrease and vaccination rates increase, we strongly recommend continuing to wear your mask and socially distance, to keep both you and your fellow community members safe as we all get vaccinated.
MYTH: Since cities/states seem to be opening back up and people are getting vaccinated, I don’t have to be as careful anymore (e.g. limiting where I go, washing hands, etc.)
As stated above, please continue to practice safe practices such as staying home, washing your hands, wearing a mask and socially distancing.
