Personal Statement
I am passionate about palliative medicine, patient-physician communication and education. In addition, I am interested in the integration of palliative medicine and medical oncology practice. I am currently a part of a national research collaborative, called the Palliative Outpatient Practice (POP) Study Group, focused on evaluating educational needs for outpatient palliative care providers. I also have a small pilot grant exploring professional identity formation in palliative medicine.
